The Museum of Decorative Arts of the Accorsi Foundation….a collection to see, listen to, touch and feel. From its opening in 1999 to the present the Accorsi Museum can boast a series of events created to guarantee that everybody can enjoy its permanent collection as well as its special temporary exhibits. Of particular appeal are the special theme visits created so that guests are able to appreciate more knowledgeably the decorative arts. The Thursday Evenings at the Museum have been the setting for many initiatives such as conference series, meetings with experts, theatre evenings, classical music concerts, whichall together allow the Accorsi Museum to present itself as a centre for the study and divulgation of Baroque culture. The many concerts were host to Roberto Cognazzo, Massimiliano Gènot, Susy Picchio and other internationally known artists. Thanks to the theatrical performances for adults and children (for the children as part of the many didactic activities organized by the Museum) the Accorsi Foundation was honoured by the presence of prominent artists such as Felice Andreasi and Mario Brusa and of the professional notoriety of schools such as the Faber Teater and Sergio Tofano’s School of Theatre. Working together on these events has resulted in the creation of an open museum which is not only appreciated but also supported with enthusiasm as can be attested by the steady participation in its activities by the people of Turin and visitors from elsewhere.
